Outlook Express
1) On the Servers Tab 2) Select the My server requires authentication checkbox 3) Click the Settings button 4) Ensure that the Logon Information is set to Use same settings as my incoming mail server 5) On the Advance tab, change the outgoing port from 25 to 26 6) Click OK for all windows that are currently open 7) Once you have completed the steps above, please close down Outlook Express and then restart it to ensure that the settings have taken effect. You may like to send a test message from the account that you just configured to check that SMTP authentication is working.
Outlook 2003
1) Click on the More Setting button located at the bottom right 2) Select the outgoing server tab 3) Place a check in the top box (my outgoing server(SMTP)requires authentication.) 4) Check the TOP radio button, (Use same settings as my incoming mailserver) 5) On the Advance tab, change the outgoing port from 25 to 26 6) Click OK for all windows that are currently open
